{"id":1535,"date":"2018-04-02T22:27:56","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T05:27:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/noahdyer.com\/campaign\/?p=1535"},"modified":"2018-04-21T15:30:29","modified_gmt":"2018-04-21T22:30:29","slug":"redfored","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noahdyer.com\/campaign\/redfored\/","title":{"rendered":"#RedForEd Raffle"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='avia-iframe-wrap'><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1500\" height=\"844\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ni6aPOp7KPI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2>Help one lucky teacher win $2018 for school supplies, and help all Arizona teachers reach their #RedForEd goals!<\/h2>\n<p>My campaign will be giving one lucky teacher $2018 for classroom supplies for the 2018 school year!\u00a0 When you sign my petition, I&#8217;ll enter you into the raffle for the opportunity to pick your favorite teacher to win the prize.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona teachers need a strong Governor who believes in the value that teachers bring our community.\u00a0 By taking just 60 seconds to help\u00a0me get on the ballot, you ensure that educators and\u00a0parents will have the opportunity to vote for the strongest candidate to represent their values and make sure that #RedForEd momentum carries into 2019 and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone wins!<\/p>\n<h2>How to Enter<\/h2>\n<p>Entering the #RedForEd Raffle is as easy as 1, 2, 3.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You must be registered to vote in Arizona.<\/li>\n<li>Take 60 seconds to <a href=\"https:\/\/noahdyer.com\/campaign\/sign\/\">sign my online petition<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IMPORTANT: Make sure to check the option to share your email address with me.\u00a0 This is how we will notify you if you win.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Why am I the Governor Arizona teachers need?<\/h2>\n<p>Thousands of Arizonans have told me that they&#8217;re embarrassed that our state is dead last in teacher pay, and near the bottom in per-student funding.<\/p>\n<p>As a former junior high school teacher and college professor, these are issues that I&#8217;ve experienced firsthand and I know how to solve.\u00a0 That&#8217;s why I was the first candidate to officially declare my candidacy for Governor, and the first candidate to officially release a <a href=\"https:\/\/noahdyer.com\/campaign\/education\/\">comprehensive education plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My education plan:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Takes us from 48th in per-student funding to 25th, without any new taxes.\u00a0 We just have to cut tax loopholes.<\/li>\n<li>Gives school districts the resources they need to pay teachers and support staff better, maintain buildings in good repair, and invest in great technology, curriculum, and teaching materials.<\/li>\n<li>Stops vouchers and tax credits that take money out of the public schools that need the most help.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Unfortunately, because I&#8217;m an independent, the Republicans and Democrats in the Arizona legislature have done <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/uniters-tribune\/if-george-washington-wanted-to-run-for-governor-today-he-couldnt-even-get-on-the-ballot-3633e2e22437\">everything they can to keep me off the ballot<\/a>.\u00a0 Republicans and Democrats only need about 5000 signatures to get on the ballot, but they make independents get 35,000.\u00a0 It&#8217;s crazy!\u00a0 But we&#8217;re already halfway there, and with your help, we&#8217;ll get all the way there!<\/p>\n<div class='avia-iframe-wrap'><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1333\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AI8renmRk-U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<h2>Other #RedForEd Raffle Details and Frequently Asked Questions<\/h2>\n<h3>When will the winner be drawn?<\/h3>\n<p>The winner will be drawn at random on June 1st, 2018.\u00a0 The drawing will be streamed live and the winner will also be notified via email.<\/p>\n<h3>What is the raffle prize?<\/h3>\n<p>The raffle\u00a0prize is the <strong>ability to choose<\/strong>\u00a0their favorite public school teacher to receive $2018 for school supplies.\u00a0 The raffle\u00a0winner will not receive the money personally.\u00a0 This is a great opportunity to help a teacher!<\/p>\n<h3>Who can be selected as the recipient of the $2018?<\/h3>\n<p>The recipient of the $2018 must be a certified teacher at a publicly funded school that enrolls students from the general\u00a0public without charging parents additional tuition or uncustomary fees.<\/p>\n<p>Most public and charter schools meet this requirement.<\/p>\n<p>Most private and home schools do not.<\/p>\n<h3>I&#8217;m a teacher.\u00a0 Can I pick myself as the winner?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes, as long as you are a certified teacher at a tuition-free\u00a0public\/charter school.<\/p>\n<h3>Can I share this raffle with my friends and family?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes!
